PHX Checkpoint Wait Times
Good morning,
I'm flying PHX-BUR on a 7:30pm Tues night flight (no bags to check & I'll do an OLC so BP will already be in hand) & according to the TSA website, the checkpoint waiting times are 2-5 minutes for Terminal 4 from 6-7pm, however, since we've all heard how those times are really calculated, I'm wondering if anyone has more reliable information on waiting times during the time frame in question? Unfortunately, I'm not elite w/America West so I'll have to use the regular line this time
Thanks!

T-4 houses America West and Southwest... which probably have 80% of the flights out of PHX. Personally, I would get there no later than 6:00, and would probably be more comfortable with a 5:30 arrival.
There are two (or three) security checkpoints to get into the A and B gates, so you can generally pick the shorter one. The entire North part of the terminal is connected so, once clearing security into the north, you can get to any of the A or B gates.

The A and B checkpoints lead to the A and B concourses repsectively. All the concourses are connected airside, but you probably wouldn't want to go more than one (ie, B to A or C to B) otherwise it's a long walk. The B checkpoint seems to be less crowded than A, so it might be a good choice if you have an A gate and the A checkpoint is backed up.
