It's been a couple of years since we were there but as I recall, accomodations are in three different buildings. The main building is the oldest and rooms there are classified as "classic". These are the least desirable rooms.

I believe the nicest rooms are the ones in the building across the lake from the main building called Broadmoor West. I would recommend requesting a room there.

If you have time and have a car, be sure to go over to Manitou Springs, a few miles away. Lots of interesting shops and probably a much better collection of restaurants (interesting food without breaking the bank) than in Colorado Springs.
