Vail skiing in mid-April

How is Vail skiing in mid-April? Thinking of flying out there from NYC for closing weekend, Sat April 16 to Sun April 17.

Thanks!

I bet it's going to be pretty good this year, although I couldn't predict what % of the runs will be open. My recollection is that the mountain usually closes a week earlier. The only nasty part, in general, is rain. I'll be there next week until 4/2, so maybe I'll be able to give you better intelligence then.

You may want to consider A-basin as a backup - they run well into June.

Thanks. I will check back again with you in early April. I have already booked my JetBlue flight from JFK... if the snow isn't good, I can cancel for just a $20 penalty.
