Tips for Spending Night at PHX?

I have a mileage run planned for a couple of weeks from now. One of the nights is going to be spent at PHX. I wanted to see if anyone had any tips/insights regarding sleeping there over night. Any location recommendations or other tips would be greatly appreciated. I checked out www.sleepinginairports.net, but it only had limited info on PHX.

Thanks!

If you're just looking for a place to sleep theres is a Sleep Inn located just 3miles(seems like less) from Sky Harbor.

I know about it because I pass it everyday on the bus going to work. It only takes about 5 minutes to get from the hotel to T4.

Sleep Inn - PHX

Ooops. My bad. Some of those entries in sleepinairports are before 9/11 so it's surely outdated.

Since I live here, I've never thought about the best places to sleep in Sky Harbor.

However, I have arrived in PHX around 1:30am and they wont let you sleep in any of the concourses T4 or T3 really late at night.

You shouild have no problems in the ticketing areas since they'll figure you're a stranded passenger. There are also some nooks near the elevators on levels 1 & 2 of T4.

Im not too sure about T3 or T2, but the ticketing areas should be safe.

Sleeping in phx airport tips

Take the intra terminal (any green bus) to terminal 2. Walk past the ticket counters into the terminal. In the pre security squartundrum to the right there is usually a table to lie on in front of the security employee door. Best shot of good night sleep. Only 1-3 flights arrive between 12 am-5am and security is manned all night and will be a deterrent against hoodlums, thiefs, etc.

If you must sleep in the airport there is a 24 hour restaurant called Paradise which is located on the 3rd floor outside of security. I think they eject people from the terminals at night; but there are always tons of folks sleeping by the ticketing areas.
