Different Terminals--Help!

Hello!

Former PHX resident here, and familiar with T2 and United's gate areas, but never made it to other terminals.

I have a situation and need some help...

Girlfriend flying into PHX on UA.

I, unfortunately, am coming in on SW (quick hop-down after a week's work in Vegas)...She arrives 2 hours before I do. She has never been to PHX, and is not old enough to secure the rental car herself for our weekend away...(Before y'all go jumping to conclusions, she's 23, I'm 27).

I'm thinking the best idea is for her to come over to the SW terminal and meet me somewhere...So I have a few questions...

1) Is there a inter-terminal bus for her to take? Southwest is in terminal 3, right?

2) If so, where is a good SPECIFIC meeting point where we I could arrange for us to meet up? (Like a Starbucks near baggage claim or something--she will have to be on the non-security side). Neither of us will have cell phones.

3) Or is there a better idea. (We are staying in North Scottsdale, both arriving late morning).

WN is in Terminal 4, (aka the Barry Goldwater Terminal).

There is an inter-terminal shuttle, check:

As the previous poster stated she can take the free bus to terminal 4/Barry Goldwater.

If she has no bags or not many.,,,Meet her at the Pardise Bakery in the middle of terminal 4 on the gate departures level,,, not ticket departure level which is below. Paradise Bakery is easy to find and she will not have to go through security. You both can go downstairs to get your luggage if you have any and rent your car

Thanks for all of your input so far...I especially appreciate the reminder that SW is in Terminal 4, not 3...In retrospect, I guess I did know that...NW, CO, etc are in terminal 3, right? The link to the map was especially helpful...

But centurion mentioned picking up my rental car...Which got me thinking that I should just have her meet me at the Hertz counter...Should be the easiest place, I think. I assume there is only one Hertz counter in T4...Is that so?

Thanks for all of your help so far!

You are correct, NW is in Terminal 3, but CO languishes in Terminal 2.

Braniff, Pan Am, PSA, TWA, Eastern, and others all depart from Terminal 1.

For people unfamiliar with PHX Terminal 4, meeting at the Paradise Bakery restaurant in the central food court on the departure/arrivals Gates Level 3 is a good option. There are slightly more comfortable chairs in the hallway/walkway between the food court and the security checkpoints for the WN gates. I think meeting at either of these areas is preferable to trying to find each other at a car rental counter. You have a better chance of finding a chair on the Gates Level 3.

CO used to be in Terminal 3 many years ago, then moved to Terminal 4, and maybe 2 years ago moved to Terminal 2. Definite downgrade going from Terminal 4 to 2.
