Night Buses
The past two flights I have taken to Seattle have arrived at the North Satellite at night. Most people know now that with the refurbishing of the transit/train system, buses are used.
I realize that this is an inconvenience to the traveling public. But, the existing trains have been under continuous operation for over 30 years. Frankly, I think that having the trains is an immense attraction to this airport and am thankful that we don't have the acres of walking that some airports suffer.
It's easy for us to take for granted some of the ammenities that SeaTac offers us. Many overseas airports use buses between plane and terminal, and they're brand-spanking new. It's part of their design.
So, when I'm hauling myself up and down the stairs at the North Satellite and the D Concourse, I think of the hell that they're going through at IAD (Dulles), and smile.
