Mule Ride down Grand Canyon

I know from experience that these rides book up well in advance, but Im wondering if anybody here knows of a shortcut. Im willing to pay a premium if I can get two slots for the 2 day trip.

Ive called the reservation line 4 times over the past week and they are telling me they dont have any spots until October. Im calling the phone lines listed at

http://www.nationalparkreservations....anyon_mule.htm

As stated above, Im willing to pay a premium over the published price if I can still get two slots for the dates around May 19-22nd. Does anybody know any tricks?

Thanks very much.

No tricks to mention, but I would suggest going to the Grand Canyon w/all your gear for the two day trip.

Choose a non-weekend day and simply show up, early and cash at the ready.

Has worked at other "booked" events.

Thanks very much for your suggestion, sounds like a good thing to try.

Anybody else?

Mi Amigo,

Speaking from personal experience (when I was 23), your tush is gonna be sore; unless of course you're a 'real' Gaucho!

Dan

P.S. There's nothing like looking over the side from 10' up on a mule.
