Lack of Snow Curtails World Cup Ski Events in Aspen
The ASPEN TIMES reports officials from the Int’l Ski Federation and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association “announced Tuesday that the men’s giant slalom most recently scheduled to be held in Aspen on Saturday was called off due to lack of snow.” The cancellation reduces Aspen’s World Cup schedule to “just two slalom races now scheduled to be run here on Sunday and Monday,” though a “go/no-go” decision on those races “will likely be made today, after officials see how productive Tuesday night’s snowmaking efforts were”
