Reno - Atlantis
My inquiry is about the Atlantis. I am stuck between the "deluxe" tower, the "luxury" tower or the "Concierge" tower. What really - if anything - is the major difference? Any input will be greatly appreciated.
I have always wanted to go to Reno but never had the chance. Now things have changed.

The Atlantis is a nice place, but not centrally located.
If this is your first trip there, you might want to think about staying "downtown" at Harrah's or the Eldo or Silver Legacy etc. That way you can walk around and get the full Reno experience, such as it is.
If your trip is in the near future, be prepared for the possibility of nasty weather.

Thanks. I will be there over Thanksgiving break + weekend. I decided to stay 2 nights at Silver Legacy and then one night at Atlantis, where (luckily) I will be able to catch up with Tanya Tucker on Sat. night.
How bad do you think the weather can get? I am bringing only a Columbia fleece-type jacket.

The weather shouldn't be too bad at Thanksgiving. The temp at night will maybe be freezing, but not much worse. It looks like it will be sunny. You'll probably see some snow in the hills. It really is rather scenic there. When you walk out of the Legacy, take a right on Virginia and walk a few blocks past the other casinos and check out the river.

Have you looked for reviews on sites such as Tripadvisor? Most of the reviews look positive. One had, under "room tip," "Extra cost for rooms on concierge level. But includes free breakfast & afternoon drinks."
Weather.com predicts mid 50s during the day, and just below freezing at night, no precipitation (this weekend is a different story). Get up to Tahoe, if you can. And Virginia City. Reno not the most exciting gambling city in th world, IMHO, but some find it a refreshing change from the overkill of Vegas. And it's near some great mountain scenery. Say "hey" to Tanya for us.
