Hi everyone,
First time poster here with a quick question. I did post on another thread but don't know if it was the right place!
We are looking at booking the following flight/s:
US 75 T 04DEC JFKPHX 0959 1339
US 338 T 04DEC PHXSJD 1440 1645
And just have a couple of questions:
I'm assuming, but wanted to check, that we go through customs/immigration at JFK? As I don't think we will have time to do this at PHX?
Also, is this enough connecting time? The flights will be booked as one ticket, so I assume our bags will be checked through to SJD from JFK? These are the flights the airline has suggested but I know even in that case we could still miss that flight, which would be a real inconvenience since it's the last flight of the day!
Thanks in advance,
Stelle

Mexico does customs/immigration at SJD, so this is like a domestic flight until you land in Mexico. 1 hour connection at PHX is no problem, presuming it is a single ticket. Bags checked at JFK and you won't see them until Los Cabos. JFK is prone to delays, so there is some risk of missing the connection, but that is maybe 1% of the time (ie. a couple of times a year). I'd opt for an earlier flight (USAir has JFK-PHX flights starting at 6 am, I know because I've taken it once before; JFK is a hellish airport due to poor facilities and food esp. in early morning).
