UpgradeMe or Economy X
Family of 5 flying SYD-CNS on March 21. Already paid $40AUD each for Economy X row 3 but business is empty and lowest upgrade bid is $250AUD. Should I try for the upgrade or just keep the bulkhead?

The bulkhead is plenty nice especially considering there are 5 of you.
Virgin domestic J is a very good product, in particular I find the food very nice. It might be worth upgrading 'mom & dad', but I wouldn't bring the whole family up (and it may not be possible to do that via UpgradeMe, there are only 8 J seats).

If your bid is successful you can contact VA and they will refund your economyX fees paid.

Equipment swap, that is what they have done.
Paid $69 for an econX on a 737, they have swapped me to an a320, ...
No econX, and no business class.
They didn't inform of the equipment swap either.
I went to my future booking on VFF account, and got a shock.
