Certainly when I flew WLG MEL on SQ I had no lounge access in WLG, was not allowed access to the AirNZ lounge.
I dont care about bonus points, what I care about is being able to spend productive pre-flight time in a lounge and VA to date has not made any announcements about lounge access in Australia or NZ for trans tasman flights
