Vs lounge access
Hi guys
First time poster long time reader
I booked one of the ridiculous RTW fares VA had out a while ago ($1100 economy) and I'm a Gold member
Flying the LAX to LHR leg on VS - do I get lounge access? I can't see that VS have a lounge there so do I get star alliance or Etihad lounge?
Thanks
Jim

But hopefully someone else will be along to tell you this info is out of date.

With the exception of HKG, the only time VA members get access flying VS is when VS has a club. So you shouldn't get any access at LAX.
However, please ask at check in and report back what they say. Seems like LAX access for VA flyers changes every week...

http://www.virginatlantic.com/gb/en/...clubhouse.html

Virgin Atlantic has/had a lounge there, which I thought with the move of Delta and Virgin Australia over to terminal 2. Delta was going to take over. This is a good question I travel this Saturday. I'm a delta Platinum, with ticket purchased through Delta but operated by Virgin Australia. I check in at Terminal 2 and trying to go through security in Terminal 2 as a TSA precheck. but will see. not sure if I check in on Delta or Virgin counter.

Delta has taken over the T3 lounge space and is operating a Skyclub from there.
You check in with VA in T2 (at the west end of the counters).
The flight will depart from TBIT; you can take an airside bus from T2/T3 to TBIT.
Not certain about your circumstances for lounge access but I'm pretty sure that if in Business class on a VA flight number you can get to use the EY lounge at TBIT.

Sorry for the late update on this - I was in fact able to use the VS lounge in LAX by flashing my gold card. Smallish lounge but fantastic cocktails and table service, food was great too, and located right next to the gate for the flight. Also used the VS lounge in LHR - which was fantastic, possibly the best I've ever been in (you can drink famous cocktails from around the world wearing a VR headset so it give the impression you in said cocktails bar)
