I chose the Pork Chop for SFO-LHR. The accoutrements sounded much better than those with the Chicken, even though I'm not a huge pork fan in general. Anyone tried either of them and care to report back?

Overall I felt the breakfast was better than the evening meal. Still trying to figure out what happened to the new spring & summer menu. I'm on the Virgin Red Inner Circle customer feedback group so asked there what the deal is. |
Updated menu my flight leaves in eight hours
Looks like there was a change in the outbound flight from Miami to London. Here’s the new menu.

They got rid of the sausage and mash :-(

I ordered the RUMP from the menu provided the same day of flight and when I boarded the flight attendant told me they had bangers and mash for me.

I had the bangers and mash last month. The (4) sausages were not that tasty, the mash and peas were both okay. Not something I would chose again. Definitely seemed quantity over quality.

For the record, the sides with the pork chop were solid - and they were the main reason I chose it. The pork chop itself was edible, but that's about as far as I go. The only real strong point in the meal was the burrata appetizer. Dessert was poor. Honestly, an overall disappointing experience in row 1 on the A350. Only plus was that the seat itself was very comfortable.

It's a real shame the food is letting them down at the moment. Starters are good, desserts are mainly good, but the main courses seem to have a really cheap vibe to them, I'd argue this isn't just related to the new menu either.
. It comes to something when a value airline like Jet Blue are serving better looking food on transatlantic flights. |

Returned 07/13 on VS117 - LHR - MIA
Had the pleasure of going to terminal three @ Heathrow and entering the virgin lounge where I picked up a light breakfast ( see pic ) not quite the same as E Pellicci in the East End but a decent fryer up
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...22486bd02.jpeg Full English breakfast w a proper mustard https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...4815584d6.jpeg Lamb *ump none the less. On board the lamb rump was more like a clump or something else that rhymes with and starts with a D. Pic not great tho sry. |
Dinner and breakfast photos from VS42 SFO-LHR last week.
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...c6ee056b36.jpg Meal highlight - the burrata/pesto appetizer. It was solid. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...392f6a1427.jpg The sides were good.. The pork, not so much. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ee4cbd6618.jpg Mediocre chocolate cup. Not really practical for in flight consumption either. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...002c13456b.jpg Breakfast. The only positive comment I have about this is that the tomato was fine. Lord knows what those eggs were. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...22a5dac9a0.jpg Cheese plate. No issues here. Though it wasn't offered, I had to ask if they had it. |
Anyone know what meal is served on VS457 8.20am LHR-TLV route in Upper Class?
