Flying Club Complimentary Silver
I just got a complimentary Silver membership from Virgin Atlantic (note, I dont have any tier points and like 2000 miles).
What are the main perks? How can I use my newly given Silver card?

VS Silver is okay as a freebie, but it isn't worth jumping through any hoops for, as BA304 has listed the only real benefits.
The PE check in when flying in Y used to be very useful when the queues for economy check-in used to snake around the block, but OLCI; and more efficient VS systems have meant that the whole Y check in process is a much more pleasant experience.
Bonus miles are always useful, but you are still a good way down the pecking order when it comes to the few op-ups VS now give.

If applying for Founderscard JUST to get VS Silver (or *A Silver for that matter) alone, then the fee will not be worth it. Some of the additional offers in the scheme might make it more attractive to some, though

There are company links that you can find with perseverance that give you free silver, mostly with fast track to Gold.
I've never posted them, and always thought (rightly so I believe) that they shouldn't be. A nice perk for some bonus miles, and if you travel only in Y to use PE check in desks.
But nothing to jump up and down about.
