Virgin America to offer absinthe on drink menu

Known for its hip and well, California flair, Virgin American Airlines will be offering something a bit more down to earth in terms of beverage selection. Ready to see things in a different light, or maybe see things that aren't there? Absinthe.

I just noticed the e-mail announcement.
ELEVATE UPDATE: Absinthe On Board. Bon Voyage!
BiziBB,
Don’t be surprised if you see a Green Fairy on board your next Virgin America flight.

Virgin America is delighted to be the first Airline to offer Absinthe in-flight.

Le Tourment Vert authentic French absinthe is now available on all Virgin America flights. Try our Mile High Cocktail, a Tourmenting and satisfying blend of Le Tourment Vert Absinthe, sprite and lemons shaken and served over ice. Bon Voyage!

I didn't see the bit about "shaking" Sprite. Absinthe, lemons and flat Sprite does not sound good.

Just had it this week. Wasn't too bad actually.
The Absinthe they serve is pretty non-standard compared to what I've had in Europe, is almost more of an Absinthe cocktail in and of itself to start with.
Very thin, almost a clear blue colour, vs thicker green syrup.
