Cash and Points
I'm sitting on VX 757 right now, and the person across the aisle from me just stated that it is possible to use a cash and point combination for flights. Is this true? And if 2D reads FT, sorry for eavesdropping :-)

Maybe they booked a RT with one way using points and one way using cash. Not really a "cash and points" purchase, but to the entrained eye...

Has anyone tried to use points when they don't have enough? She seemed to be indicating that she just gets enough points to create a discount for herself. I can't test this, for obvious reasons ;-)
