Jfk-las-jfk

Hi everybody,

I'm familiar with VS, but not VX. I need a flight between JFK-LAS-JFK, traveling in a premium cabin. A friend has recommended VA...has anyone flown this route in the F cabin? What can I expect...what are my alternatives? I need to book quite quickly as I have requested an F seat and it can only be held for 48hrs.

Many thanks.

F is probably the best you'll find on any domestic US carriers and typically much cheaper. The following threads should provide you with some of the info you are after . Let us know if you have any questions and we'll do our best to help.

BTW (just FYI, not trying to be smart) - VA is V-Australia (Virgin Blue's International Airline in Australia), Virgin America's IATA code is VX.

Thanks! I've certainly had enough 'smartness' on the BA forum for one day!!

VX's JFK-LAS service doesn't start until September 4th, so nobody's actually flown this route. It should be comparable to the other transcons, though.

If you're looking to fly VX anyway before then, you'd need to do JFK-SFO-LAS and backtrack a bit.

Weird that I saw 2 VX birds at their LAS gates on Saturday. I thought it was the new service - must have been something else

VX does have service in LAS, but the routing is only SFO-LAS currently. As of Sept 4, they add JFK-LAS as well. You likely saw overlapping SFO flights.

Most likely SFO weather issues... an ATC delay for west coast inbounds to SFO while the next SFO-LAS is still on time and lands in LAS before the delayed LAS-SFO is given clearance to depart.
