I was chillin in the RCC East, got my favorite seat on the south side looking at Concourse A and what do I see but the lovely red tail of a VX plane.
It was parked at gate A31 or A29 (couldn't quite tell from the distance).
VX leasing planes to WN? Charter flight? Test flight for future SFO-DEN service? Let the speculation begin.

Don't know why it went to Denver, but I seem to recall a VX plane has landed there at least once before. It was a new aircraft being put into service, N528VA. Another new A319, N527VA, was flown to SFO from RME on April 29. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/VRD9527
Looking at the flight history, N527VA was ferried PDX-SFO on May 15. Turns out VX 1717, flying LAX-SEA on May 14, diverted to PDX (according to airliners.net, it was an in-flight engine shut down).
I wonder if the IFE retrofits are being done in Rome, NY? That is just speculation based on looking at the flightaware flight history. But, I do see that these two A319s both stayed in RME for 6-8 weeks, so they had to be doing something.

Confirmed with VX today that the plane is now fine (minor "warning-light" type of thing caused the diversion to DEN, which was tested and fixed) and going into service tomorrow. I imagine that they will take one of the 320s off of a longhaul route, replace it with this 319, and use the 320 for the extra SEA flight.
