Hm...I thought SRB didn't have involvment with Virgin America. Why am I not surprised though...

Let me guess - you were one of those who joined in on the petitioning to STOP VX from starting up?

Get over it.

The majors need a damn good kick up the a** - this should be a good one. ^

Add me to the list of FTers that are excited about VX. Most of my flights are SFO-LAX and SFO-JFK so I will likely give them a try. Can I petition for SFO-ORD to complete my troika of flights I am always on. If they hook eleVAte up with Virgin Atlantic's frequent flyer program, I may never fly UA/LH again.

I joined - Maybe I will mix up my JFK/SFO flights from MIA a bit... just to check 'em out - hehehe

Maybe they will come down here next year!

Peace!

A free trip for only spending $980? How cheap are the fares?

Also, to where can one fly for 4,900 points? It might be SFO-LAX.

And probably only 1 way, too.

Don't all the JFK-LAX flights connect in SFO ? Or just some on the schedule ? I looked at booking on 8/16 and it showed a connect, and with all the directs to LAX I'm not sure it's worth the stopover. Although I'm pretty excited about the Y class. It looks a lot better than CO right now and a lot cheaper !

Nonstop JFK/LAX service begins Aug 29 with two flights a day in each direction. From 8/8-8/29 a connection in SFO is required.

Also, flight 317 on 8/29 at 7:05pm will be the inaugural LAX departure from JFK.

I remember when the airline was getting ready to start and they mentioned San Diego as a location they would be at very early... any word on that??

San Diego will most likely be the next city to start after Las Vegas. When exactly that is, and which cities it will connect to (most likely just SFO to start, adding the other cities one at a time) I'm not really sure.

Not that difficult to see how four RTs would not equal $980. LAX-SFO RTs can be purchased for under $100, which is only about 40% of the way there.

I'd love to use Virgin for the SAN-SFO instead of WN, especially now that Alaska doesn't offer it anymore...

Can't wait for the Virgin SAN-JFK flights to compete with the DL ones... not sure which ones I'd choose!!
