Question Can you transfer SOME of your Elevate points?

I have both Elevate and Mileage Plan and would like to keep both for as long as I can. I would also like to move a few miles over from Elevate to Mileage Plan to take advantage of a very good first class seat offer on the Alaska plan.

Is it possible to transfer a few points from Elevate to Mileage Plan, or do you have to transfer all your points and essentially close your Elevate account to move the points to Alaska's Mileage Plan?

Was able to transfer 5,000 Elevate points to Mileage Plan and get 6,500 miles. That topped off the Alaska account to allow me to get a Virgin transcon ticket up front, without having to empty my entire Elevate account.

Thank you.

A new member here. I was trying to transfer Virgin America points to Alaska. Do I first have to go to points website and join and register both airline programs. Have never done anything with the points website before.

It was a little confusing to me - trying to find what went where. I had already registered in Alaska's Mileage Plan, which is the first thing you want to do.

Then, I tried googling "elevate to alaska mileage plus" and got the following link to pointsguy, com, which walked me through the process easily and in no time at all....

Have at it, and let us know how it works for youl
