VX lost item returned

I've been critical in the past about VX having a tired F transcon product and disenchanted workforce since the merger with that boring airline.

So I have to give credit when credit is due.

Thank you VX Baggage delivery. I left a small dop kit in my seat on one of the VX F transcon flights a few weeks back. I called VX for help and felt like the person on the other end was at best half-listening to my desire to be reunited with the lost item.

I went online and filled out the lost item form and never heard anything back.

I figured it was gone. Total loss would have been about $400 in the RX inside, along with personal items that are a pain in the rear-end to replace.

That all changed yesterday.

FedEx delivered my lost item with everything intact. VX had emailed a couple of days before saying that it had been located and confirmed my address where they promptly shipped it back.

Thank you very much VX for finding the item I left behind and the thoughtfulness to send it by FedEx to me once it was recovered.

Bravo! Grateful! Great customer service goes a loooonnnnnnngggg way!

Said merger has yet to happen and the "disenchanted workforce" you speak of are getting significant raises and work rules that they could only dream of should Virgin remain a stand alone airline or even merge with Jet Blue. They are disenchanted with their own management team, not that of "that boring airline". Really glad that you got your dop kit back though, that IS good customer service.

Yes, speaking for the majority of VX inflight, we are very excited about the acquisition and becoming AS, and I'm disappointed you've felt that some of your experiences haven't been positive. So glad to hear your lost item was returned. Hope to have you onboard again!
