A friend has a tight connection tonight at Dallas Love from VX to WN and the VX flight is running late. Will he have to go through security to get from the VX gate to the WN gate? About how long should it take? He has only carry-ons. Thanks.
Of course, my terminology was incorrect. He had two tickets, one on VX and one on WN. Based on the schedule, he had 50 minutes between VX arrival and WN departure. As it turned out, the VX flight was 27 minutes late but the WN flight was 50 minutes late, so he made it easily, as they were only 3 gates apart.
DAL has become one of my favorite connection points anywhere. Easy to get from the 2 VX gates to any of the 18 WN gates, great bars, new terminal, can get to most domestic destinations from there, much shorter transfer time between gates than DFW....
