VX Website Updated...

Poking around the website this morning, I found that instead of getting the lists of cities I'm used to (i.e. once you pick your originating city about a half-dozen cities would show for you to click on for your destination, or you could click "more cities") you just get a set of drop-down menus.

Honestly, this is an improvement IMHO...but does anyone know why they changed it and/or if this might be partly responsible for some of the issues as of late?

The whole website had a major redo, which many of us panned. I am sure they are still doing some tweaking along the way. Without having access to the source code, I doubt any one of could relate issue a to update to function b.

Noticed this today and was happy about it. Count me among those who really hated the recent redesign. Overly concerned with form over function, and while it seems like it's designed to be mobile-friendly, there are actually many parts of it that are unreadable on mobile, while not allowing the user to properly zoom and pan around. Stuff like simple drop-down lists are tried and tested and easy for anyone to use, instead of bizarrely hunting around some huge grid of squares.

They're still having some issues.

For example: since I changed my email address, I can no longer log in using my (new or old) email address. It will (incorrectly) tell me my password is wrong.

I have to click "not you" to log completely out, then use my Elevate # and password instead.

At best it's an easily fixed cookie issue, but it could be something worse like a database glitch where the old UID data is being purged (in this case the email address) and not correctly repopulated. /geek

Have to say though that overall I like the new site better.
