Status Rollover

With my Virgin America CC, one of the benefits is extra points rolling over at the end of the year. What I'm not clear on is this: If I wind up with Silver status and 25,000 points for the year, does that mean that 5,000 roll over? If I don't have status, do all of my points roll over into next year? This does matter in terms of strategic point acquisition and whatnot (i.e. if I end the year with 19k status points and those roll over, getting Gold next year should be quite easy).

I'm not completely sure how it works either. The terms aren't that clear. I think that it's the way that you described though.

From the way that the terms are written, it's possible that only the status pts that you get from purchases (5k pts per $10k) roll over. I don't think that that's what they mean, but it could be interpreted that way.

I guess we will find out pretty soon...
