SFO-BOS

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if there is an arrivals lounge for a shower when flying first/business SFO-BOS on the red-eye?

Thanks in advance

RE: SFO-BOS

I'll let others chime in on your question. Just wanted to suggest using more specific thread titles - as SFO-BOS could mean anything. This helps people sort thru threads a bit easier, and hopefully ensuring the people who have the information you need will be more likely to respond.

No, there is not. The terminal in BOS is very small and has almost zero amenities.

Call ahead to confirm, but perhaps a day pass to the AA Admirals Club will fit the bill. Their Boston site has showers and is located in Terminal B ...a lengthy walk from the VX gate, but a walk.. It opens at 4:45am.. I have one of the AAdvantage credit cards (that came with a bunch of points and a hefty annual fee) that includes access to the Admirals Clubs..But I think a day pass can be had for $50-$75..

I can also suggest a day rate at one of the nearby hotels. I know a couple of them offer a day rate. To my knowledge, only the AA club has shower in BOS.

This is probably the OP's best option. Plus, one can usually snag a day pass
to the Admirals Club off of Ebay for under $25.

Except you can't access the Admirals Club from the VX gates at Terminal B at BOS, so this option won't work.

Oh that's right! Won't work if the OP will be short on time.

Won't work even with all the time in the world unfortunately. Unless that includes enough time to buy an AA ticket to get airside .

Gotcha. Just thought the OP might be able to get a gate pass to get through
security if he/she is an AC member. Read another thread awhile back that its
been done before.

If a member, yes this is possible. A day pass almost certainly won't get the same accommodation though.

Unfortunately VX gates (just 2) at BOS are in an isolated area with its own security. No other gates can be accessed from these VX gates. There are no other amenities except restrooms and a Cosi Express with terrible coffee and snacks.

Tip for departing flights: There is no TSA pre-check line for VX gates.

Thanks for the tip! I'm heading back home later this spring and certainly going on VX. ^

Without any boarding pass (for the day he arrives), the OP will likely have difficulty getting behind security at Terminal B near the Admirals Club. He should call Admirals ahead and ask though, and he might ask again at security upon arrival. For the record though, I used a VX boarding pass (terminal 4) to access the Admirals Club at Terminal 8 this week at JFK. I gained access at the Admirals Club using my AAdvantage credit card with Admirals Club privileges. Security at terminal 8 didn't ask why I wanted to enter term 8. If i had a day pass, I think the Club would have let me in.

Maybe a day pass to one of the airport hotels is a better option.

There's also never a line...at most there are 2 flights going out of that area...Definitely the most predictable area to fly out of in Logan.

But like I said in the beginning of this thread, there are zero amenities...The Cosi in the terminal serves food that's so bad you should just wait until you are onboard. Even outside of security, Dunk's and Legal are all you've got. Terrible.
