Triple Points for Point Purchase? Surcharge?

If I use my BarclayBank VX credit card to purchase miles, should I receive the Virgin 3x points for the amount of the purchase (I obviously will get the miles I buy, I'm talking about the charge itself).

Likewise, what if I redeem VX miles for a VS flight - which requires a cash payment for VS fees, charges and taxes. Should I get 3x miles if I charge that surcharge on my card?

If it is like Delta, when the charge comes as DL purchase, you will.
If it is like US airways and AA when the charge comes as points.com, you will not.

Since the extra award is only for direct VX travel purchases, the answer to both is no - you would only receive 1 point per $1 as usual.
