LAX Priority Line

Hi guys,

Just spent 40 minutes @ LAX Security trying to get on Flight 404 to JFK... I'm flying MCS this time, so obviously I could have used a priority line. But I'm not aware that there is one out here... can someone tip me off so that I don't have to do this next time? Usually security here is < 5 minutes.. but this time I guess there were too many families and holiday travelers...

Thanks!

For those lucky passengers at LAX T3rdWorld, All Security Lanes Are Special. No F/MCS line for you.

ugh that sucks. I'll try to upgrade to F on the way back from JFK. They have a priority line there, plus the upgrade is more cost effective in this sense.

Here's the trick for LAX: Last month, having arrived on the Flyaway bus from Union Station on the lower (arrivals) level, I happily stumbled upon a downstairs screening checkpoint near T3 baggage claim. Monday mid-morning, I was the only passenger there! I don't know if that checkpoint has limited hours, but if all else fails, head downstairs.

I can also attest that this is a stellar option when the lines upstairs get out of hand. Saved me at least half an hour (and likely missed flight) on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

The downstairs line was what took me 40 minutes this morning. At 530am, I arrived at the line, and at 540am, they shut down one of the two machines downstairs...

But I've had much better luck upstairs than downstairs anyday. Unfortunately they wasn't letting any of us go upstairs this morning..
