Eczema on Fingers - problem with US entry?

I suffer from mild pompholyx (or dyshidrotic eczema) and have the same problem.
I was under the impression that if you could provide ONE good print from any of the 10 fingers it'd be alright with American immigration officers. I understand that in more severe cases even that might not be possible but I've entered the US with some 4 fingers on one hand with cracked skin and only one good print and they seemed to be able to identify me from the prints i provided earlier (before i started suffering from eczema)
