Want to fly UAL.
Is there a way I can search for all the destinations that I could fly to (from DSM) for under $500 in July 2018?
I couldn't figure out how to do it on united.com

Use google flights. Set the Destination to USA (or North America, or any continent you prefer) and set the airline to Star Alliance.

For some reason, the price slider disappears after I chose a flexible trip duration and trip dates.

Zooming in on the map will display the price for each city. If your dates are truly flexible, pretty much anywhere in the US (except some smaller destinations) looks to price under $500 from DSM on Star Alliance.
