US Customs
2 weeks ago I went to Canada for 24 hours and used the $200 exemption(since i was out of country for less than 48 hours). I went to Singapore for 6 days and Tokyo for 2 days since I went to Canada in the last 30 days, does that mean I have $200 duty free or $800? my understanding is $200.
Also I have 2 bottles of commercially packaged orange juice in the luggage, I plan to inform the customs officer of that however will I get a agricultural inspection?

I can't speak to the customs allowance, but last time I brought back commercially packaged foods and declared, I was sent to Agriculture for an inspection just for checking the "Food products" box- the first officer didn't bother to even ask (or care when I started to tell him) what it was. The inspection consisted of sending my bag through an x-ray and then sending me on the way.

There is no way of predicting whether your declaration of food will result in a secondary Ag inspection. But, if it does occur, it's not a big deal. The only thing that is a big deal is not declaring.

On one of my more recent returns, I declared goods had exceeded $200. When the agent asked me why, tried to explain to the agent that I had been in Canada a few weeks prior and brought several hundred dollars worth of goods back on that trip, thus did not qualify for the $800 limit this trip. He cut me off and waived me through. Declare everything and don't worry about it.

Just a update: the agent said I was able to get the $800 exemption and I did get sent to agriculture inspection which was a good thing because she taped the box perfectly it got really beat up on the plane and was tearing. She did look at the orange juice and said it looks good
