Daughters passport application has said processing. My State Senator contacted passport agency to see what's going on since they won't tell me anything. Guess we were missing her dad's copy of DL. They never bothered to let me know. They mailed a letter to me which I wouldn't if got for days. Thank got Senator Bennett gave me this info right away. We emailed them the missing info in minutes.
senator Bennett just called and said passport completed. Overnight mail tonight. Whew!

Was it submitted with the application? The acceptance agent was suppose to ensure that was part of the application; that's what you are paying the execution fee for.

Nope

Frustrating

Called and spoke to a couple of agents. They opened an investigation (so they said) and all of a sudden, last night, the applications showed up as processing on their website. Checks are being cashed today. They're pending ACH Hold as of this morning.

The email(s) came in at 3:03 AM this morning. Not sure if they're working this late. At 4:30 PM, they could not find any information on their end and said they have opened a case and someone would call us and if in 2 weeks we see them received/processing, we're supposed to call them.

I dont know the answer (I suspect GUWonder might) but if you do not have any travel expected in the next few months why not just send both of them in? They will send both back to you along with your new passport.

I ended up calling CIBT (who did the second passport handling) to see if I could get some free advice. The suggestion that they gave me was that I should send in my older expired passport versus my still valid second passport. His suggestion was that if I were to put down the second passport (valid, three months remaining) on the DS-82 form then I would have to surrender both passports. However, if I submitted for renewal of my older passport then I wouldn't have to surrender my other passport.

The Philly office received our's on 3/7 and its still NOT showing up on their site as Processing. No ETA and no idea how long it'd take. They haven't cashed the checks either.

I am also in the same boat as yours. Mailed my application using Priority mail and it took 12 days to be delivered (March 9th). I hthough the mail was lost until I opened up an inquiry with USPS. Before they could respond, my package was delivered. After that, there hasn't been any update from the passport processing center. Opened an inquiry with the Senators office yeaterday and this morning, I see that my application is in process. Took them two weeks to just put in process..now thats what I call a big delay. So 10-12 weeks from now, puts me in the June timeframe.
Feb 26 - mailed my application
March 9 - USPS delivers it
March 24 - application in process

Whats the current normal processing time for routine service? Not the official 10-12 weeks but how long does it take now?

Renewal sent in for expedited processing, mailed overnight 3/16 to Philly which per the post office really meant two days. Delivered 3/18, shows received and processing in system as of 3/19. Now to see how long it actually takes to renew.

Sent my husband's in 3/9 via two day UPS so they should have received it 3/11. Changed to processing and cashed the check on 3/15. Still says processing as of 3/24 and we expedited.

I received my new passport in today’s mail. Old passport, renewal application and check were mailed to Philadelphia on February 4, so total turnaround (not expedited) of exactly 7 weeks.

Thank you. That gives me hope. Lets see how long it takes for us.

Congrats! Did you receive the new or old model?

How can I tell? It looks very similar to the previous one.

I suppose I timed it well. The previous PP expired on March 16; this one was issued on March 18. :tu:

I'm having trouble updating the PP# on the Global Entry site. It's telling me I need to visit an enrollment center. The closest one is 210 miles away. :(

Next Gen passport is not available for the general public at this time. The plan is is to roll out to government passport at this time but unknown whether that is on track or not.

If you have Next Gen, you will know immediately. The data page is more rigid as it is made from polycarbonate not paper..

You should be able to update passport on TTP website unless you have an initial/renewal application in progress.

Oh I 100% agree that I should be able to do so. But I can't. I double and triple checked all the numbers and other information I entered and the site still won't permit me to update.

Are you saying the screen comes up but doesn’t save?
