Are you asking for flight info or hotel info?
Most of us are here to discuss travel as it relates to flying, but the hotel forums are probably a good place if you want to discuss just hotels. Not sure if there is a place to talk about road trips.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong..

with respect to houston:
four points houston sw is a great value property, cheap on weekends and all that you need in a great area. or the element which is in the suburbs and is much fancier AND located by an Alamo theater, but far far out in the burbs.
better yet if you're looking to just crash just cruise the freeways and look for the cheapest ~40-50usd a night and they all advertise their price on the outside.
