Question US CBP finger printing with a missing fingertip

I am traveling with a parent, in September, who hasn't been to the USA before. They are missing the entire top section, from the knuckle, of one of their fingers.
A quick google didn't seem to bring anything useful up, so checking here!

Trying to anticipate any potential problems or issues we may encounter with the CBP fingerprint requirements.

On the basis of no authority at all (i.e., I haven't looked it up), I'm confident in predicting that the CBP agent will note that your parent is missing a fingertip and collect prints for the remaining fingers. Not much else they can do, is there?
