6 hours in MIA
Hello,
I travel to the US around 3-4 times a year. I was in Miami visiting family (as I mostly do) a couple of weeks ago and left something there.
It's cheaper for me to fly there to collect it than to have it shipped securely. I was thus thinking of flying from LHR to MIA on a Saturday day flight, land at 4PM, have my family meet me at the airport, have some dinner somewhere, then leave on the 10PM flight landing in LHR Sunday morning. Back to work on Monday.
Do you think I risk getting a red flag from CBP? I've had secondary twice before; once when I travelled when I was between jobs and once when I travelled on a visa for a course.

I happen to love MIA, and would spend the day, and fly back the next day @:-)
And to answer the next question, yes I've done east coast British Isles in coach on overnight.
Also did almost all West Coast cities to Houston redeyes (not much sleep there) and went to work after a shower in the morning.
But yes, your way is more comfortable @:-)
As for Immigration, tell them why you are doing what you are doing, and you'll be fine.
