Shopping area near an US airport
I was just wondering which airport in US has a reasonable close shopping mall reachable by public transport. I mean hear also the easiest way to get there and closest shopping area.
Example> SFO and San Bruno area.
I am looking specially for stores like Bestbuy/Office Max/Ross/Marshalls.
thanks for any advice.

More details: I have been to SFO and know the San Bruno area, another example is LAS where a cheap hotel and not that complicated public transport is a good combination.
I do not know LAX but read that the public transport is difficult.
I have been to Miami but hotels area really expensive so not an option.although the public transport is ok in South Beach and to downtown.
Any other airports?
I do not want to rent a car!

A short ride will get you from MSP to the largest mall in America (aka. The Mall of America). It' s very easy trip- a shuttle takes you directly from the airport to the mall. There's also a small amusement park, mini-golf, and an aquarium at the mall in case you get tired of shopping.

Generally most airports connected to subways are good bets. A few minutes extra to get to a preferred mall shouldn't affect your plans much.
But MSP is impossible to beat for the quick connection, the door-to-door ease (always covered, and I believe entirely indoors for that stretch), and of course, Mall of America.

+1 for DCA and MSP. In the former case, in addition to Pentagon City, Crystal City, and the surrounding strip malls accessible by subway, a short taxi ride will take you to a large strip mall that has Target and, if I recall correctly, at least one of the Marshalls/TJ Maxx ilk.
From BOS, a few T stops will get you downtown to Macy's and other low- and mid-priced options.
Large outlet centers tend to be in outlying areas, though I can't think of any that are extremely accessible to an airport by public transportation. BWI and Arundel Mills is one, though I think that that would take a taxi.

+1 for cheap hotels around USD 50 mark.
-1 somehow expensive flights from MEX to get there.

MSY is 3 minutes away from Veterans Blvd which has all the stores you mentioned and more. Office Depot, TJ Maxx, Best Buy are some of the first stores you hit once you leave the airport for Veterans Blvd. Also Lakeside Mall is a mile or two a little further down the Blvd. Plenty of reasonable hotels nearby too if you don't want to stay downtown.
Not sure about a shuttle to "shop hop", but you could hire a cab to spend the time with you.
Plus you have the added benefit of being in New Orleans! (-:
