2009 The Hunt Begins - January Status

As we head into 2009, I know that travel budgets are being cut. So just for for fun were is everybody at the end of January.

It appears from his posts that that MichaelColey is already Patinium for 2010. I will be 40,000 by the end of January.

By the the way weather is nice in Tokyo. Having a nice Cuban cigar and drink in the *G lounge at NRT, ah life is good in Asia.

So, how is everyone doing this year?

Paul

DH is 10,500 right now ... with no TA travel scheduled for the rest of the year

We do have a CLT-AUA-CLT run this weekend and a CLT-SJU-CLT run in March.

We figure he'll make SP at a minimum ... quite a let down after making GP for the last three years as well as making CP for this year.

0 miles, 0 segments, 0 planned.

On DL I will requalify for silver by March.

So far this year ... DL/NW got a $1300 trip to DEN out of me, a $600 trip to ORD, a $1200 trip to TRI, and a $1100 trip to BHM is coming in a few days in addition to a trip to SFO next week.

There was a time when US would have received all of that. Oh well.

I should have added that I have 6 segments and 4132 MQMs on DL. I have 12 more segments on DL booked: two TRI-LGA RTs and one TRI-SFO RT booked so far.

I should point out that I'm only Platinum (or will be once today's segments post) on the Try Preferred challenge (with some of those miles coming in last year) through 2/2010. I'll have a little over 20k EQM YTD when I return from my current trip. I'll probably just reach Gold this year. It's just tough to get miles domestically out of DFW or any other central city.

651 miles and 1 segment.

I now do PHX-JFK-SFO MR's on AA for $238 than pay US (PHX-SFO) and earn their worthless miles.

Right now, I'm sitting on 7,152 EQMs and 4 segments. Will requalify on segments by the end of February, and yes, I know that means
