Student Discount?
I'm at OSU near CMH and have a girfriend at Dartmouth near LEB. It's a PITA to fly to BOS and wait for the bus. Flying to MHT requires a layover plus a bus. But it's usually still cheaper to fly to BOS on B6, AA, or DL and take the $55 bus rather than flying US to LEB.
Does anyone know if there's a student discount or other way to make it cheaper to fly from CMH to LEB?
Thanks!

The only "student discount" I've ever heard of on US was on Shuttle flights. You had to buy a bulk number of one-way tickets for a set price, I don't remember the details but I assume this is no longer offered. It was Shuttle only, though, which are flights between DCA, LGA, and BOS, so wouldn't have been much of a help to you anyway.

I am out of CMH as well (not a student though). Have you thought about checking routes via DAY or CVG? (requires a drive on the ohio end but might be cheaper)

Try statravel.com or studentuniverse.com
I have heard that using these sites does not allow the accrual of FF miles.

I would think that a student is best positioned to use Priceline, because students are usually most flexible.

Some airlines will credit you miles, others will not, some even depend on which fare they're selling. There should be a FAQ section on studentuniverse which gives you a table of mileage accrual.

Discounts on US? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease they did away with such a thing last year......I started flying US for the student discounts in 1998 and now that everything has gone down hill, try UA. Student Universe is great but only DL gives miles for it, I believe.
