Exclamation The new US Airways Credit Card

from usairwaysinfo.com

Beginning January 1, 2006 you will earn Dividend Miles when using the Barclays Bank US Airways Dividend Miles credit card ...

So its January 1, 2006, and where is the site for the applications/info?

Also I, seached everything about Barclays, and it has international site, but none in the US! So were going to be sending payment to the UK. And customer service can be reached at a long distance number in Europe?

www.lotsmoremiles.com

There is also a flashy add in the new US Airways Magazine:

-For the first 12 months of activity you will earn 1.5 miles/dollar on all purchases and 3 miles/dollar on US Airways purchases
-The card will be issued under Juniper Bank and licensed under Mastercard.
-No mention of preferred miles after 25K.

Their website is not up and running just yet - simply says "arriving 2006"

Will there be a fee, if so how much?

How about benefits, that even if youre not preffered, do you still get priority boarding, checkin???

This is typical of how this merger is going so far. No information.

I hope they dump the stupid "buy a card, get priority boarding" deal. Devalues elite benefits.

Partially agreed, as there are more and more cardholders! However, they should be recongnized somehow. Before we all became preffereds, we received zone 2 with the credit card. I belive in 2 things:

either ALL preffereds get zone 1 both star silver, and star gold

or

FIRST/BIZ CLASS PAX CHAIRMAN, PLAT, GOLD and STAR GOLD ZONE 1
SILVER and STAR SILVER ZONE 2
VISA SIG/ CARDHOLDERS ZONE 3

then all other pax!

No offense, but your attitude towards HP/US reminds me of my ex-wife's attitude towards me. Why not just find another husb^h^h^h^h airline? You'll be much happier, I promise.

Hey king - just curious - where are you on the tier?

I agree with most of your post, except for ZONE 1 - I'd limit it to 1st, Plat and CP. Gold has been really easy to get lately and from what I've read on these boards you can BUY gold now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Gold is still Star Gold. Do you *really* want to devalue 50k-mile flyers?

Most banks will not give you a credit card until you are 18

The new card is handled by Juniper Bank, a US division owned by Barclays.

If you already have a BofA US Airways card, it will continue to earn miles for two years. BofA is disputing US Airways' cancellation of the contract, so there's a possibility that they'll keep it.

Gold...tier 1???? Silver....tier 2???? Are you sure you know about US? CP= US 1, GP=US 2, SP=US 3 (obviously now Plat will move to US 2). All preffered members board during zone 1 so I don't see why they have to baord with "you". So how is that book cooming along.

The most important thing for me is the 10k Preferred Miles after spending $25k annually.
