Mileage Earning on YUP Fares?

Hi all,
I'm CP on US and preparing to book a trip on HP metal. The F fares quoted aren't too bad compared with Y and hoping for an upgrade; however, I noticed that the fare is actually a YUPA7..... Does this earn 100% or 150% EQMs? Thanks.

It's 150% when you book discounted F. While the fare basis code YXXXX, it posts and credits as F at 150%.

If you truly "Y-up" on HP, by buying a Y or H fare, which is eligible for immediate (space available) upgrade, you only earn 100%.

Quite often, the discounted (non-refundable) F fare is about the same price as Y, which is refundable. If your plan is definite, or you can easily use the value of the ticket on another trip, the F fare is better, as it will get you 150% EQM's and there are no "upgrade space available" issues.

Thanks for the info. I haven't spent too much time on the HP website, but it offered the coach price and the First price for each of the flights and when I clicked on First it showed YUP. Might be worth a few extra $$ to build the EQMs in 2006.
