Free Hertz #1 Club Gold For Chairmans Preferred's (From 2005)

Good Evening All,
It's been driving me nuts! A couple of weeks/months ago I read about a promotion that Hertz offered CP's free Hertz #1 Club Gold Membership for one year. Was this a limited time promotion or am I just not looking good enough? Does anyone remember reading about this?

I've been looking at the US Airways and Hertz website. Thanks!

Thanks! Where did you access this? I became a CP a couple of weeks ago, but I feel that I'm missing something because I don't know where the link for what you sent is. Is it is an e-mail?

Is it is an e-mail?
Yup, these links typically show up in one of the monthly Dividend Miles update e-mails.

just curious....what do you get with #1 that Avis Preferred doesn't give you? Since Avis is free and all. Thanks!

I wouldn´t mind getting on of these. I phoned Hertz, and they don´t know anything about it. Anyone have any advice?

IIRC some time after achieving Platinum for the first time I received an email invite for a "one year free trial." Signed up once and never charged since - which I assume is a result of maintaining Platinum or CP status.

See: http://www.usairways.com/en-US/divid...00000000#Hertz

I am the same way. I signed up years ago under one of the free offers and I have never been charged since. I've wondered about this, but I didn't want to bring it up if it has been an oversight. A quick look at their website shows: The annual membership is only $60, subject to waiver, and the minimum age for enrollment in Hertz #1 Club Gold is 21 (exceptions apply).
