Rapper/actor Alpa Chino on a LAX-PHL flight last week. He and his entourage took up half of F. Surprisingly little attitude for a star of his stature. He was actually very gracious when the FA informed him that there were no Bust-A-Nut bars in the snack basket.

Tom Lehman - Pro golfer on 1433 from Ft. Myers to Charlotte. Couldn't fit his garment bag in 1st so they gate checked it. 3 more people boarded after him with bags in coach and none of those were gate checked.
Good to see that US doesn't play favorites! Although, I think only one other passenger knew who he was and the crew didn't know or care.

Katie Couric in seat 3C, US 1624, CLT-LGA, on October 17, 2008. She had water and dozed/relaxed with her Bose headphones. (I was in 2C.)

Joe Liberman on a trip from Hartford to DCA last fall. Sat across from him in first. Quite a thrill since we are both Jewish. Had a nice chat about recent trips to Israel.

Jim Lampley checking in at first class counter from PHL to LAX this morning. He was a real jerk to another passenger waiting to check in. Berated the guy for at least 2 full minutes for not putting his luggage on the scale. He created quite a scene. I asked the agent if they got a lot of these "celebrities" with attitudes. "Yup" was the response I got.
Miserable trip, by the way. Mechanical delays on Saturday left hundreds missing their connections from Europe. All I can say is that US admitted it was their mistake and put us up for the night (or 6 hours of it).

Makes me glad my flight last Friday was with Katie Couric! She was quiet and kept to herself!

Believe it. His flight is BOS - DCA Shuttle so the flight isn't nearly as miserable as the rest of US. Also, one of his aides picks him up at Logan in a minivan (Chrysler Town & Country). Or at least when my office was in the same building as his years ago that was the car. Boston Brahmins don't wear their money on the outside. That would be too tacky.
