Got the tickets using miles and Amex MR points. As an ordinary DM member (I don't generally fly enough to run up the miles), is there any possibility of upgrading?

That's what I thought. Thanks. The flight is not long enough that I much care (although on the way back, it would be nice to be first off the plane to try to beat the line at immigration!)

Since when can preffered member upgrade award tickets? I know it happens on occasion with nice gate agents...but per the rules?

Can't an non-preferred member upgrade a premium award? I thought these were fully upgradable if space is available by queue priority.

Premium awards can be upgraded by non-preferred members as long as they have something to support the upgrade. Preferreds naturally have the automatic upgrades which cover the upgrades. If the non-preferred had extra miles, purchased E-Upgrades, or had paper upgrades they would be allowed to upgrade.

Is it 2395 + (2395 * 3) + SP Bonus or
Is it 2395 + (2395 * 2) + SP Bonus.

Scenario 2 gives you triple miles - Scenario 1 gives you quadruple miles, doesn't it?

Wish it were 1, though, since I'm making a few of these too and it would be great.
