I fly AA, but on Monday, 5/18, I did my first connection at CLT, around 8:00 am--A to C gate connection. The airport was super dense with connecting passengers, if there were a naked man amongst them, I doubt anyone would have noticed.
PS: I noticed the vehicles moving some pax between gates, were "inching" along (due to the congestion).
