2014 or 2015 PQMs for Return at 11:59 PM MST on 12/31
I'm looking at booking a flight that is scheduled to return at 11:59 PM MST on 12/31. Will I get PQMs in 2014 or 2015?

I believe it's based on scheduled departure time so it would be 2014. However, if you're counting on those miles for 2015 status I'd book something earlier or try to MoveUp if possible. All it would take is a couple of minutes schedule change to change which year the miles go toward.

What do you mean by "return"? If that's the arrival time, then it's irrelevant - flights are credited based on departure. Unless you're flying a short west-bound over a time zone, that's earlier.

As others have said, PQM's would count for 2014, as it's based on departure date.
Point taken, but I think the risk is low of this schedule changing to the next day - this sounds like one of the PHX redeyes - and with the exception of the second PHX-CLT redeye that sometimes operates, I've never seen any flight scheduled past 11:59pm from PHX. Any other US flight that operates after midnight is usually well clear: 12:20am, etc - and it's usually that second redeye, from LAX or SFO, etc.

Thanks for the replies. This is the SLC -CLT redeye that departs at 11:59. I booked using miles and will cancel / rebook using $'s if the PQMs will push me to the next tier. I'm CP this year, so no penalty for canceling award tix!
