before I break protocol
Is there anywhere on this site or other sites where it is not frowned upon to trade status? For instance, trading trial or perm gold or silver to a member of another airline alliance for the same type of thing.

Yes. Members of FT who have at least 180 posts and 180 days of membership are eligible to access the coupon connection, where various airline instruments can be traded. It is the only part of FT where this is allowed.

I've seen offers for Silver Preferred status for a nomination to FO on Delta over there.

IIRC it is 180 posts and just now looking at your post count I see 180 so you should be OK. I don't know how long it takes to gain access to CC once you reach the criteria however.

PLEASE don't do this in the main Dividend Miles Forum. I have no problem with Coupon Connection (and similar) but let's not clog the Dividend Miles forum with congas and ex-Coupon Connection trading. That's not what this specific forum is for.
