Changes in Dividend Miles Program!

I remember seeing this discussed in an old thread, whether there would be a 4th tier added once the merger was complete, but I just did some quick searching back and can't locate that thread right now.

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but according to the info on this page:

http://www.usairwaysinfo.com/usair/c...-upgrades.aspx

It looks like there is going to be a new level added in 2006 giving us
SILVER
GOLD
PLATINUM
CHAIRMAN'S

I guess all you guys who guessed at a 4th tier were right.

Heck, that whole website www.usairwaysinfo.com is full of useful info. It's probably been posted on here a hundred times before but I honestly don't remember seeing anything about it, and I only check FT for new posts about every 15 minutes.

EEK! I also just noticed at this page:

http://www.usairwaysinfo.com/usair/c...end-miles.aspx

that the segment requirement for Chairman's Preferred is increasing to 120 segments!

US Airways unveils new frequent flier program

TONY MECIA
Staff Writer

US Airways unveiled a new frequent flier program on Monday, one that increases the minimum number of miles for a reward ticket and adds a fourth tier for elite travelers.

. . . .

Domestic tickets. Passengers may obtain a coach-class domestic ticket using 25,000 award miles.

....

International tickets. Similar changes take effect for reward tickets to the Caribbean and Europe. Tickets to Central America, Mexico or the Caribbean will start at 30,000 miles, and tickets to Europe will start at 50,000 miles.

....

Added elite tier. The airline will add a fourth tier - "Platinum Preferred" . . . . People who fly 75,000 miles a year will be Platinum Preferred.

From usairwaysinfo.com - the upgrade window for Plats will be 4 days ahead of the flight. They have a good bit of info out there: http://www.usairwaysinfo.com/usair/c.../overview.aspx

Sorry mods, there wasn't anything about this on here when I started typing.

Please merge with the other thread(s).

This will probably be an active topic huh?
