Are bagels gone from the DCA-LGA shuttle?

Used to frequent this route quite a lot, and this (8am dca-LGA) morning there were no bagels as we entered the plane. That was a first.
Are they permanently gone?

I flew DCA-LGA at 6a on 2/22 -- instead of bagel was handed a small rectangular packaged donut-type thing on boarding. The kind that costs 25c at 7-11. Was way too sweet, specially that early in the morning.

HA!! That's what they serve on transatlantic flights for breakfast in coach! Correction, it's the ONLY thing you get for breakfast. It's absolutely vile. US Airways inflight service genius strikes again!!

I took 6A BOS-LGA shuttle last week. Donut. I happened to love it, but coworkers also accuse me of freebasing sugar.

And yes, I feel that they have absolutely devalued the shuttle. Other than using A319's, there is nothing really special about the shuttle anymore.

I have taken about 25 BOS-LGA shuttle segments already this year. Nothing but donuts (or "breakfast bars" as US calls them) on the am flights. It looks to me like less than 50% of the passengers take them when offered, further saving money for US. That said, I think the shuttle operation is still great, even if it's not what it once was.

To me there is something special about the US shuttle, even with all the cutbacks. It's the presence of a first class cabin, which DL and AA do not have on their shuttle flights.

I appreciate the larger seat, even for a 30-minute flight.

I don't think so . . . but it's been a while since I've been in Y on a shuttle. Anyone else know?

Ah. Well still kinda nice that they give you free beer and wine. Gives it that extra touch. Now does anyone know if DL offers any free alcohol on the Shuttle?

Free beer and wine, too. No first class, though. And no assigned seats.
