Gift Certificates
Has anyone purchased a US Airways gift certificate? Can they be purchased at an airport ticket office? Also, if I purchase one for myself (say for $900), can I use it for travel for myself and for my wife?
I'm trying to figure out how I can take advantage of the Starwood Amex double point promotion, but if I use the Amex to purchase airline tickets, they are individual purchases (not one lump sum). The Amex purchase has to be at least $500 to get the double points. Two tickets at $450 each won't cut it.
