Made US2 several weeks ago. Wife and I both got Silver kits when we made it with the envoy upgrade certs, etc.

Should I expect a gold membership kit? Something with a new card, luggage tags, or anything else that should make me feel more special?

Thanks.

Since I'm going to be gold in a few hours, I have been intetested in this same question. According to this thread, the welcome kit is essentially the same as silver. You should also see six more e-upgrades, although some threads have reported 8 or 4. Two more trans-atlantic upgrades and pretty cards.

no luggage tags -- they've been gone from the packets for the past couple of years now

I have found if you call the service line for Dividend Miles members, you can hurry things up a bit by requesting your packet
be move to the top of the processing list.

I was given a fax number and I faxed a list of all my recent travel and a cover letter as to why I needed rapid processing and POW, they did it. I don't have the fax number but the service line can give it to you along with a supervisor's name.

Good Luck.

You know what's weird? I've read that several times here, but my wife just made SP for the first time several months ago and she got them without even making a request.

I've been preferred with US since 2001 and I've never gotten them. In my first packet way back then, I did get a complimentary club pass for one visit but these have since disappeared as well.

Not to threadjack, but I recently made GP through a challenge. I obviously made SP first, and those e-upgrades have been deposited (the GP ones should be there in the next couple of days since they lag behind a bit).

My question is: Will I receive two welcome packages or just one?

Thanks!

I RE-quailified for Gold a few months back. I don't expect I'll see a new kit until February.

IIRC, when I first qualified for Gold last November, I received an e-mail and my Gold pack in December or early January. I re-qualified for Gold in early November, and I never received an e-mail, nor do I expect my packet until February. I think you only receive your packet prior to February if you achieve a new status level.

Believe it or not, I got my USAir Gold Package today in the mail. It was almost identical to my silver package, but it was for gold. And it included ANOTHER set of Envoy upgrades, the gold card, etc.

The ultimate bennie was that I got a set of Envoy upgrades for making Silver, and my Gold set included another set of Envoy upgrades.

It sounds like its better to qualify for gold the first time since you get twice the upgrades. My first time as gold I went from nothing to gold on one trip.
